Spike reached out and put his fingers to her lips, then blinked in shock. Buffy found herself doing the same, feeling electricity and warmth and right from the simple touch. They sat there for a moment in silence, eyes locked on each other, and he made the realization the same time she did.

“Right, so as long as that's out of the way,” Spike said, wrapping his arm around Buffy's waist and smiling even as he inhaled sharply at the touch. Buffy did the same thing. “I've got an idea about how to do that 'connecting' thing.”
